Some Thoughts
Our wedding weekend was truly the happiest time of my life. It was so great to see so many of our relatives and friends that we don't often see. I loved celebrating with those I hold most dear. Through the course of the weekend, I was able to spent quality time with just about everyone from out of town. The bridal luncheon was a great kickoff to the weekend. The food was delicious and it was fun visiting with my best friends, my cousins, and all of my sisters. The rehearsal dinner was a blast! I was able to visit and meet with more friends and family on Jeremy's side. I also got to spend a little time with my Dad. I had given my Mom, Dad, and Kristi(Sis) special photos framed with a poem. I wanted to make sure they knew how much I loved them. I also gave framed photos to my other girls. Everyone was in tears! On our wedding day, the sun was out and the weather was warm perfect for an outdoor wedding. Through all the planning, I thought I would have a hard time getting through the ceremony without crying all over the place. But instead, as my Dad walked me down the aisle, I was filled with excitement. I was so happy that this day had finally come. Throughout the ceremony, I was thoroughly ecstatic! The only time I got a little weepy was when we said our vows and towards the end of the ceremony when I realized we were really married. The reception was the best. I was so afraid that noone would dance since it was an early wedding and we only had about 50 guests. But instead, people were dancing before I had even finished my lunch! We danced and danced and danced! I was having so much fun on the dance floor that, unfortunately, I did not get around to visit all of my guests. I remember that when the DJ announced only 2 songs left, I thought, NOT YET! I wasn't finished, yet! I still had people to see, dances to dance! It couldn't be over yet! But, indeed, it was. Our last song was "I've Had The Time Of My Life", and it was so fitting because I had truly had the time of my life!

Some Advice
In case there are any brides out there checking out our site, I have a few tips. There's not much I regret, but I there are a few things I wish I had done: Make a list for your photographer of must have shots. I actually did start this list, but I never finished it, so I didn't give it to the photographer. I missed MANY things and I will never get the chance to correct this. Try to get around to talk to everyone. Not only will you be glad that you were able to see everyone who came to support you on your special day, but this also allows for pictures to be taken of you with all of these special people. My cousins and aunt flew in from North Carolina to see me get married, but I was so busy on the dance floor, I didn't get any professional shots of me with them. I do get sad when I think about these things, but there is nothing I can do about it now.

December 23, 2001   I met the bridesmaids for lunch and an afternoon of dress shopping in Tulsa. I was surprised at how quick and easy it was to find a dress for everyone. I was expecting this long stressful process, but it was so easy that we were done in less than an hour! My Junior Bridesmaid, Hillary, had only one option. David's had just added a Junior Bridesmaid dress to their line. Luckily, it came in navy and is very similar in style to the other dresses. Major relief to have this behind me!

The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception held in the pavilion. Pictures are located on the ceremony page.
May 7, 2001   We put earnest money down on a lot in Woodcreek Estates. It is an extra deep lot (by today's standards anyway). We love all the trees!
April 28, 2001   After an afternoon of house shopping (and dreaming), we were spending the evening at home relaxing. We were talking about seriously considering building a house. This, of course, brought about conversation about the future. We both knew we were meant for each other and it was only a matter of time before we would decide to get married. In fact, I was very anxiously awaiting Jeremy's proposal knowing it could happen any day. Well, that evening, Jeremy couldn't wait any longer.. He got down on one knee and after the sweetest words, he asked me to marry him!
